How to Clean a Laptop Screen Properly

Who doesn’t love the convenience of a laptop computer? You can take it here, or there and pretty much anywhere. What isn’t quite so convenient is the slow build up of oily finger prints, dust and dirt on the LCD screen. Though tempting, you should never attempt to clean the screen with window cleaner or chemicals that can permanently damage the screen. Try using this all-natural cleaning solution to make your screen look as good as new.

Blow the dust off of the screen using canned air. Start spraying at the top and work your way to the bottom of the screen. Slowly move the canned air back and forth across the surface.

Mix a solution of 50 percent white vinegar and 50 percent distilled water. Do not use regular tap water as it will leave water spots due to the hard water elements. Pour this solution in a small spray bottle.

Spray the water and vinegar solution onto a cotton rag. New, out-of-the-package cloth baby diapers work great for this. Begin wiping the screen in a small, circular motion. Use a new cotton cloth to dry the screen. Repeat if necessary.

Spray a small amount of the solution onto a cotton swab. Squeeze out the excess onto the cotton cloth. Run the swab along the edges of the screen. This will get the hard to reach dust. Wipe dry and your laptop screen should be sparkling clean!
